Get a high-level overview of which clients are connected and what simulators are running in RouteEffect. You can also launch a Picture-in-Picture (PIP) of RouteEffect, which will help it stay running in the background longer if you have to perform multitasking tasks on iOS and iPadOS.

Start PIP

Opens the Picture-in-Picture window. With it running, you can go to other applications, and RouteEffect will stay open longer in the background.

Here is a photo of the PIP as it has just been activate and running alongside the MixEffect app while controlling an ATEM 2 M/E Constellation HD.

Note that iPadOS may still stop RouteEffect while its PIP is active. If you turn off your iPad, network connections may stop and this will disconnect RouteEffect from your Videohubs and stop your Simulators from running.

Disconnect All Clients

Disconnects all clients from their real or simulated Videohub video routers.

Stop All Simulators

Tapping this button will send the stop signal to all simulators running in RouteEffect.

There are times when you disconnect the simulator but the port to which it was attached is not available. If RouteEffect complains about the port being in use, you will have to force quit the app and relaunch to clear the port.

The RouteEffect PIP activated
RouteEffect's PIP allows it to stay connected to your Videohubs while working in other applications.
